Changes to personal income tax rates, introduction of an independent earner tax credit and R&D tax credit

The Taxation (Urgent Measures and Annual Rates) Act introduces changes to KiwiSaver and personal income tax, repeals the research and development tax credit and introduces an independent earner tax credit. KiwiSaver is a voluntary, long-term savings initiative to help set you up for your retirement. Most KiwiSaver members will build up their savings account through regular contributions from their pay.
