Michelle Knox
Director
Michelle has spent over twenty years in accounting and obtained her certificate of public practice in July 2003, at which time Michelle also became a director in the firm.
Michelle's main areas of interest at Walton Railton & Co are in business management and taxation. She enjoys the variety of work and clients, and finds that having been involved in the farming & horticulture industry has helped her to better understand her clients' businesses.
Away from the office, Michelle is actively involved in her local church, and the local branch of the Motor Neurone Disease Association of NZ. She enjoys reading, cooking and simply surfing the net.

Elizabeth Murphy
Director
Elizabeth commenced work with Walton Railton & Co in October, 1987, having completed a BBS in Accounting at Massey University.
Elizabeth’s main area of interest is small business management, and she has completed further studies at Massey University completing a Diploma in Small Business.
She enjoys working with her clients, and helping them to manage and develop their businesses.
Elizabeth is a representative on the local NZ Institute of Chartered Accountants Coastal Sub Branch Committee.
In her spare time she enjoys gardening – especially roses, running & cycling - having completed the Lake Taupo Challenge in November 2007. She belongs to the local Rose Society and is a member of the committee.
Elizabeth is also Treasurer for the BOP Girl Guides Region, a role which she has held for the last 6 years.

Chris Railton
Consultant
Chris describes himself as "a semi retired general practitioner". He now works on a part time basis and is finding time to enjoy trips away in his car and catching up on the little jobs he put off when he was working full time.
His interests include his continuing trusteeship of Bay of Plenty Community Homes Trust; a Charitable Trust that works in the area of Mental Health.
Away from the office, Chris actively participates in the Bay of Plenty Vintage Car Club, with his re-built Railton car.
Chris is married to Pat and has three children, six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Tracy Brown
Accounting Manager
Tracy has 18 years experience in chartered accountancy. She has also worked in the transport, oil & building industries.
Having owned her own business, she is well able to help small businesses understand and cope with the many day to day issues they are expected to deal with.
She is married with a 5 year old daughter who keeps her busy out of the office. Recently she has enjoyed making her own jewellery and has even encouraged some of the other ladies in the office to have a go.

Nick Cole
Accounting Manager
Nick originates from the UK and has been working as an accountant in New Zealand for seven years.
He graduated from Leeds Metropolitan University with a degree in Accounting and Finance and has just qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant with the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
He is married to Julie and they have a three year old son and a mad boxer dog. Nick's passion is Manchester United football club but he is finding travelling to home games is not as easy as it used to be!
