Walton Railton & Co was formed through the merger of two practices already well established in Tauranga.
David Kent and Ron Armstrong were partners in the firm of Walton Kent & Co, which had been founded in 1953 when George Walton commenced in practice. In 1972, Chris Railton had purchased his father's practice, established in 1963, and was in sole practice.
Chris joined forces with David and Ron in 1977 to form Walton Railton & Co - the resulting larger company enabled them to take advantage of computer technology and increase the range of services available to their clients. |

The practice continued in this form until 1989 when David retired as a partner. He continues to work as a consultant on a part-time basis although retirement beckons in March 2009.
In 2001 Elizabeth Murphy and Michelle Knox joined Chris and Ron as directors. Elizabeth and Michelle have been with Walton Railton for the greater part of both their careers and are already well-known to most of our clients.
Recently Ron and Chris have both retired but Chris remains as a Consultant working in the area of Business Coach - a role he is enjoying enormously.
